We first met John about 6 years ago when we bought the house next door to him and Rosemary.  As any new homeowners, we were a little nervouse to find out who our new neighbors would be.  Although we can't exactly recall the first exchange it was probably something about lawncare. We quickly learned that John was fiesty when it came to his Cleveland football team (we moved from Pittsburgh) and exchanged several hilarious friendly jabs at each other.  We always came to find John outside whether it was doing yard work or just relaxing. Sometimes we would come to find him just relaxing on our porch because....well....he liked it and that was enough for us.  We would pull up a chair and just shoot the breeze.  It didn't matter what task was at hand, it was always nice to stop and chit chat.  John would frequently cut our grass or plow our drive when we were at work and when we were home we would return the favor.  He loved being outside.  And when the weather was cold we would sit inside and play dice.  These are the memories we are holding on to.  John was such a kind hearted soul.  We are glad to have known him and privledged to have had him as a neighbor on Earth and will be blessed if theres an empty place next door in Heaven, to be his neighbor there.
